The BYU-Idaho library, the Romney Building, or the Manwaring Center are all great spots to exchange books safely.

Venmo or cash — never wire transfers
Only accept payment in person with cash or Venmo. Never send money in advance to someone you haven't met.

Photos build trust
If someone asks for photos of the book before meeting, that's totally reasonable. Send a few clear shots of the cover, spine, and any highlighted pages.

Check the bookstore price first
Go to the BYU-Idaho bookstore website or Amazon to see the new price before agreeing on a swap price. Most used textbooks should be 40-60% of new.
